Maria brink......................Maria Brink was born on December 18 1977 into a troubled family in New York. The girl was only a teenager as her father separated from the family. Brink was 14 when she was pregnant and dropped out of her school. Following the birth of her son Davion she moved into an apartment and began working in an in-town laundromat, to earn a living. Brink was a singer-songwriter in her initial group Pulse with a base in Albany New York. They mostly played local concerts for bands like Coal Chamber and Sevendust. However, the members of the group later disbanded. At the age of 25 old, she moved out of California to Los Angeles searching for her first big break. Brink was a singer and worked in bars and coffee shops while she was looking for an act. She was introduced to Chris Howorth, the band's current member, at an audition in the year following. Howorth declined to interview her due to the fact she's a woman. Howorth quickly changed his mind and apologised for his decision after hearing her performance. With drummer Jeff Fabb they formed the group called Dying Stars. The group was later joined by guitar player Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. The band's name has been changed to In This Moment after two performances.
